A 13-member rope fixing team is scheduled to fix the Everest Summit route from Camp IV and above from Wednesday.

The 13-member team from Seven Summit Treks led by Kami Rita Sherpa will be leaving for Camp IV to fix the route to summit point later today after the fixing rope was ferried to Camp II.

Legendary climber Kami Rita aims to break his own record of most ascents by climbing Everest 25 times this season.

Earlier route from base camp to Camp II was fixed by icefall doctors, and Camp II to Camp IV was fixed by trained Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks as deployed by Expedition Operators Association of Nepal, informed Mingma Sherpa, Chairperson at SST.

Earlier, ropes were ferried by helicopters from base camp to Camp II.

More than 408 permitted climbers along with their High altitude guides are already doing acclimatization rotation on Mt Everest.

Once the Route is fixed, summit push will start depending on the weather window next week, added Mingma.
