Paragliding training started in Pokhara

Kohalpur, 29 September. Paragliding players have started training in Pokhara. The paragliding players have started training after all the competitions and training has been suspended due to the coronavirus for about seven months.

Training in the sport of paragliding began as soon as the locks were loosened. The players have returned to training after the government relaxed the stakes from September 20.

The training has been started by adopting safety measures. Paragliding in Pokhara has been a great help in sports tourism. However, the commercial flight of paragliding, which was closed due to lockdown, has not started.

The long shutdown affected both the players’ professional knowledge and training. About 350 pilots of 55 companies have been flying daily from Pokhara’s Sarangkot, Toripani and Mandre Dhunga under normal conditions.

Paragliding had won a silver medal for Nepal in the Asian Games held in Indonesia two years ago. The Paragliding World Cup Asian Tour was held in Pokhara for the second time only last February.
