TANAHUN: One hundred twenty-four new species of birds have been spotted in Bhanubhakta Zoological Park at Byas Municipality in Tanahun district in a period of one week.

The birds have been spotted during a summer bird survey from April 14-20.

With this in total, the park houses 176 bird species, said the conservation officer at the park, Rupak Maharjan. “It is a matter of encouragement to protect the wildlife that such a number of bird species has been spotted in the park that spans 425 hectares of area,” he said.
