Tourism Activities open in Nepal

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has decided to open cable car, jungle safari and museums which were closed to prevent the spreading of the Covid-19.

The government decided to open these tourism sectors in order to boost tourism by following safety measures.

The Ministry in a press release issued on Friday said despite government permission to open cable cars, jungle safari and museums, the respective districts are also vested with the right to decide what to do in case of a rising epidemic. The Ministry will also be monitoring if the health measures have been followed or not.

The government earlier had permitted the operation of trekking and mountaineering and few expeditions have already summited Mt Manaslu and Mt Amadablam.

This autumn season being the most suitable one, many domestic tourists have embarked upon trekking and hiking trips during this time.
