In this region known as the capital of Rhododendron, out of 32 species of Rhododendron found in the world, 29 species of Rhododendron are found.
Laliguran’s municipality in Tehrathum of Eastern Nepal is considered as the gateway to Rhododendron tourism.
The eastern boundary of the municipality is separated by the Pinguwa river and the western boundary is separated by Dhalo Danda hill of Dhankuta district.
Similarly, the northern border of Sankhuwasabha-Tehrathum is separated by a small ravine and a steep hill.
Thus, the municipality is bounded on the east by Manglung Municipality, on the west by Dhankuta Sankhuwasabha District, on the north by Sankhuwasabha District and on the south by Chhathar rural Municipality.
This municipality is divided into 9 wards. The climate of this region is varied in terms of altitude, subtropical climate, warm temperate climate and cold temperate climate.
