KATHMANDU, Feb 09: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) conducted a successful test flight on Sukilumba Airport located at Ilam today morning with its Twin Otter 9N ABT’ aircraft.
The Nepal Airlines plane took off from Tribhuvan International Airport at 9.05 am landed at Sukilumba Airport at 10.02 am.
After the report of the test flight is prepared, the NAC will proceed with the process of preparation of regular flight operations following all the safety recommendations, said spokesperson of NAC Archana Khadka.
Tara Air has already taken responsibility for 12 flights at Sukilumba Airport. Tara is going to fly the aircraft in collaboration with Ilam Municipality.
The one-way fare for travelling from Ilam to Kathmandu has been fixed at Rs. 8,700.
