Nepal Airlines resumes flights to Humla

December 7, Simkot. Humla flight of Nepal Airlines Corporation has resumed operations from Monday.

The government-owned Nepal Airlines, which has been operating regular flights to Jumla and Rukum in Karnali, has started flying to Humla from today after almost a year.

Humla station in-charge Bal Bahadur Sunar informed that the flight from Nepalgunj to Humla will be operated once a week.

He said that there is a 25 percent discount on tickets for children under the age of two and students on the basis of identity cards. In-charge Sunar said that there is a 50 percent discount on tickets for the elderly.

He said that the fare from Humla to Nepalgunj is 6,300  and 7,000 from Nepalgunj to Humla.

Private airlines have been charging more than Rs 10,000 per person to reach Humla from Nepalgunj.

Nepal Airlines has been flying to Humla once a week, Jumla twice a week and Rukum once a week. The flight schedule can be added depending on the number of passengers in Humla.

After Nepal Airlines started flying to Humla today, the people here are happy to be able to travel outside the district at concessional fares.
