KATHMANDU, 19 October: Air Arabia will operate regular flights to Kathmandu from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Air Arabia will now operate flights from Abu Dhabi instead of Etihad Airways.
As per the agreement between Etihad Airways and Air Arabia, Air Arabia will operate regular flights from Abu Dhabi. Air Arabia has given another route to Etihad Airways and has taken the Abu Dhabi-Kathmandu route. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Etihad Airways will not operate regular flights to Nepal immediately. Air Arabia had been operating regular flights from Sharjah, UAE.
“Air Arabia will now operate regular flights from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi,” said Rajkumar Chhetri, Deputy Director-General and Spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. “Air Arabia will now operate four flights a week from Abu Dhabi,” he added. Air Arabia has started the Abu Dhabi-Kathmandu flight from Saturday.
